Amos from Uranus

The bell rang on the last day of school. Amos was ready for a vacation.

“Earth is beautiful,” Amos said. “There are sandy beaches. Lush green rainforests. Cities with towering skyscrapers that touch the clouds. And majestic mountains covered in ice and snow.”

They zoomed to the city but Amos couldn’t see the skyscrapers. He couldn’t see the clouds. He couldn’t see the flock of birds flying in front of the spaceship.
“WATCHOUT!”

Then they planted trees and a garden of veggies. They recycled. And recycled. And recycled some more. They made some changes to the treehouse, too.

“Earth is beautiful,” Amos said.
“Did we fix it?” Julie asked.
“Not yet,” Amos replied. “But it’s a good start.”
It was the best vacation ever.

My new book Amos from Uranus is coming out very soon!! 😍 When I got approached for this book about climate change, I knew I had to do it. This is very close to my heart and all the books are printed on bamboo paper with soy-based ink and water-based adhesives. 15% of the profits are given to charities fighting climate change, one tree is planted for every book printed and recycled paper used instead of plastic. The holy grail of book publishing really! 🌳www.sidewaysplanet.com
